Twilight Anesthesia

A twilight anesthesia is a light type of sedation used to keep a dog completely still while veterinarians perform tests, treatments, or imaging.  The dog is still awake and breathing on its own, they just can’t move or find it very difficult to do so. It is comparable to the kind of sedation people get during dental procedures. Recovery is quick compared to the deeper anesthesia used during surgeries.
