Dog in Remission from Osteosarcoma for Two Years!
Posted by DogCancer.com Editors on September 30, 2023
Jelly Bean (love that name!) was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and entered a clinical trial at Tufts University in October 2020. The trial, funded by the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Moonshot initiative, tests combinations of immunotherapy medications to treat metastatic osteosarcoma. Osteosarcoma, an aggressive cancer, is notoriously, well, assertive in its prognosis. Dogs with osteosarcoma often live only two months post-diagnosis. Well, Jelly Bean is beating those odds, three years into the trial. Yay!!
