About Julie Ann Hass
I have enjoyed a 37-year career in veterinary medicine. My interests are neurology and emergency medicine. I am married to Peter and the proud mom of Hunter and Orion, 21.
Currently, Peter and I share our home with four cats; Pagan, Honor, Ophelia, and Mercury; two dogs, Vincent and Mattis; and an African grey parrot, Arthur.
I am contributing to dogcancer.com because I feel it is important that pet owners have access to accurate and current information regarding all aspects of dog cancer and its management. I hope this information will help them make informed decisions for their dog.
My Dog
Vincent is my current companion, best friend and confidant. He has a housemate, Mattis, who is pretty fabulous too. Vincent and I are working on getting his therapy dog certification. He is very bright and mischievious, these qualities can, at times, make it difficult for the rest of us to tolerate him!
Picking just one dog to highlight is so very difficult and each one of the dogs that have been kind enough to live with me have been extraordinary in their own way. Megan was my childhood companion, Katie helped my through vet school, residency and beyond, Diamanda, my show dog, taught me patience. Darwin and Zelda, a pair of dogo argetinos, taught me about dog behavior. Tess, Spunky, Hailey and Byron had lessons to teach as well and they were great friends. I loved them all.
