My Dog
Rori was my first dog, and my heart dog. I still remember the day I adopted her from the shelter. She had a ‘discount’ adoption fee because she had lived there so long. Just another black dog that was overlooked by so many.
When I put her in my truck she crawled into my lap and just shook, terrified of what was to come next. Within a few weeks, however, she was a different dog.
I couldn’t believe what a beautiful, adventurous, and mischievous soul she had.
Rori was a great teacher to my numerous foster dogs and saved many pets’ lives by being a blood donor for 9 years.
She loved the water; you could not keep her out of the kiddie pool and horse troughs in the hot Georgia summers.
Rori was always up for an adventure and helped motivate me to always strive for the best while keeping a smile on my face.
I will forever feel grateful for my sweet black lab Rori.
